You are invited to join me on the 1st November at Tortworth Arboretum for my first public woodland sauna session.

At that session I will ask for your feedback. This will help me improve my offering and help others to decide if it's right for them. For now, this text acts as a placeholder.

And somewhere for me to show off my hand painted branding which I deeply enjoyed creating whilst my child napped!

our Philosophy

Recalling our ancient  Sweat practices

All our services at Wild Kin are founded on a knowing that the people of Britain and Ireland had sweat practices that were lost over time. For many years, I have been privileged to practise in the Sweat Lodge tradition, through teachings generously shared by Lakota elders. For many of us this helped reconnect us with something we felt had been lost from our own ancestral cultures. We carry deep gratitude for that gift and what it awakened in us, while also respecting a request from the elders to find our own way. This has opened a beautiful new journey of listening more deeply to our own land, ancestors and inherited relationship with water, fire, rock and community, and finding ways to gather that feel rooted in our own cultural heritage. In this space I have found a depth of belonging I've longed for all my life, and exhilarating laughter and joy that comes when people gather in reverence.

So weather you join us for a guided woodland ritual where we explore our roots or simply want to hire the sauna for your own event, your booking will always be celebrated as a step towards reclaiming our long lost love of sweat practices.
